Marisa Larkin - Owner

Hi, I’m Marisa — the human behind FurCations and the full‑time servant to a very opinionated group of furry supervisors. I’ve had animals in my life for as long as I can remember: dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish, rabbits, birds… if it has fur, feathers, or fins, chances are I’ve loved one.

These days, my home is run by a crew with big personalities. There’s Maui, my 14‑year‑old dog who has claimed my bed as his own — and sleeps in it whether I’m in it or not. Then there’s Whiz, my goofy Black Lab who got his name because, well… he introduced himself to his original owner by peeing on him. And of course, my two cats, who are either bravely protecting the house from vermin or making friends with them. It depends on their mood.

I’m happiest when I’m snuggling up with pets, running around outside with them, or figuring out all the quirky little things that make each one unique. Pets are always excited to see you, and honestly, that kind of pure joy never gets old.

Through FurCations, I bring that same energy into every home I visit. I make sure your pets feel safe, loved, entertained, and totally spoiled while you’re away. Whether they want cuddles, playtime, routine, or just someone who understands their weird little habits, I’m here to make their days happy — and your time away stress‑free.

Kevin Olson - Pet Sitter

Kevin Olson brings the same dedication and reliability he’s shown as Lead Diesel Mechanic at River Metals Recycling—where he’s worked for more than 28 years and served on the safety team—to his lifelong passion for animals. Kevin has shared his life with pets since childhood, from a 6-foot iguana to a rat snake to dogs and now his current crew of two dogs, Oreo and Bandit, and two cats, Bella and Nala. Known by his family as the “Pet Whisperer,” he has a natural ability to connect with dogs, cats, and animals of all kinds. Married with two adult sons, Kevin finds genuine joy in caring for pets and giving them the comfort, attention, and respect they deserve.

Marisa is amazing! It’s such a joy to be able to go away and know that your pet babies and house are all being taken care of by such a wonderful person! She checks in and sends pics just enough to let you know all is fine, but at the same time allows you to enjoy your time away. One of our dogs is old and handicapped and Marisa never complains about the extra barks she gets when Belle forgets that she was just fed. I feel so lucky to have found Furcations!!

Marisa has been a God send for my temperamental boy. She goes above and beyond to meet his quirky needs. He gets anxious and takes a while to warm up to people making it hard to leave.
